Job Purpose
The position of Director of Account Management, located in San Jose, CA, will manage one or more strategic accounts and will be focused on customer satisfaction, growth, and on-going customer care. This position will set growth strategies with these customers while focusing on meeting contractual obligations, tactical execution of customer needs and resolution of escalations. The ideal candidate, responsible for relationships at our most strategic customers, will act as the liaison between customer and company sites, coordinating effective communication governance and proactively addressing customer needs. This role will also assist with the development and deployment of a global strategy, providing feedback and guidance as necessary.
Nature of Duties/Responsibilities
Additional responsibilities will include providing weekly/monthly status update reports to management; weekly forecast updates and updates to CRM tool. Maintain a wide scale customer contact list and account plans in the system and schedule senior level meetings as required for management involvement. The Director of Account Management will meet and exceed target quotas set for entire account business and will collaborate with our engineering and operations team as necessary to ensure smooth execution at all levels. The Director of Account Management will also be accountable for penetrating deep and wide into the customer base to drive new business opportunities, win RFIs/RFQs for new projects; maintain and grow a healthy sales pipeline; will be the lead on pricing negotiations. The Director of Account Management will utilize regular customer contacts as a source of useful market and competitive intelligence, reporting this back to our company to assist with business planning and strategic direction. This role will maintain, protect, develop and grow existing business and relationships in-line with management strategy and develop and present compelling sales presentations to gain mind-share and ensure optimal strategic positioning.
Education and Experience
• BA or BS preferred
• 10+ years of account management or comparable experience required; strong track-record of over-achieving quotas while ensuring maximum customer satisfaction; revenue responsibilities to $25M+
• Knowledge of communications industry and an understanding of global supply chains
• Excellent MS Office skills
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Experience working with vast remote cross-functional teams in large matrix organizations
• Strong project manager with excellent ability to prioritize, multi-task and organize

Salary Range(annual): $120,000 - $150,000
