Job Purpose

As a Senior Contracts Manager, you will be a key player on our commercial contracts team, navigating complex legal landscapes to protect the company’s interests while enabling company growth. Reporting to the VP of Commercial Contracts, you will bridge the gap between legal contract understanding and business agility, managing everything from aligning with the Sanmina team in executing Master Services (manufacturing) Agreements (MSA), Design Services Agreements, and handling high-volume NDAs. As a tactical partner to the Sanmina team, you will contribute to the long-term structural standards of a global leader.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities

  • Strategic Negotiation: Lead the review, redlining, and negotiation of customer and Sanmina agreements. You will interface directly with the customer with regularly alignment with the internal Sales teams to secure favorable terms.

  • High-Volume Workflow: Manage a fast-paced queue of business agreements with the ability to prioritize based on needs that may shift by the day including MSAs, DSAs, and supply, purchasing and other business agreements along with overseeing NDAs.

  • Process Excellence: Partner with leadership to define "best-in-class" contract standards and minimum requirements, ensuring the business stays protected as it scales.

  • Internal Advisory: Act as a subject matter expert, educating Sales and operational personnel on contract standards, risk mitigation, and negotiation best practices.

  • Flexibility: The ability to multi-task and prioritize based on needs that may shift by the day is critical. Flexibility, creativity and the ability to operate well under pressure and excellent written and verbal communications skills are also key requirements for the position.

Education and Experience

  • 8–10 years of dedicated contracts management experience, specifically within a large OEM or Contract Manufacturing environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced certifications or legal background is a plus.

  • Demonstrated expertise in reviewing and negotiating complex commercial agreements.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Prioritization: The ability to pivot focus as business needs shift daily.

    • Creativity: A "problem-solver" mindset when negotiations hit a stalemate.

    • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills to translate legal language into actionable business advice.

Salary Range(annual) if the role is located in New Jersey or Colorado the salary will be: $120,000 - $140,000. Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
