Network  Engineer

Responsibilities

• Operates a company's internal data communications systems, including LANs and/or WANs.
• Implementing projects, as when required.
• Provide tier 1 support for global Network infrastructure.
• Must be able to remain contactable via cell phone and performing standby duties (including weekends/ public holidays) as per roster.
• Able to work on weekends/ outside office hours, as when required.
• •Perform moves, adds and changes to network devices.
• Performing ad hoc assigned tasks from immediate superior or manager, as when required.
• Able to understand, converse and write using English language as primary medium.
• Would be stationed full time at Bayan Lepas site. Might be redeployed to Bukit Tengah site if required.

Qualifications

• At least a Diploma in IT-related field.
• Prefer to have valid CCNA, CompTIA Network + or similar certifications.
• Understanding of network fundamentals like VLAN, OSI layers, differences between a switch vs a hub, IP subnet etc.
• Hands-on experiences in configuring network devices, like switches, firewalls, SDWAN appliances etc.
• Basic understand of switching and routing technologies, like spanning tree, OSPF etc.
