Job Purpose: North America Regional Supply Chain Management – Cost Management

At a regional level, lead the Cost Management and Compliance program for all plants in North America through detailed data analysis and concise reporting.   Communicate with multiple business teams to include Programs Management and Materials to increase profitability and revenue. Identify unfavorable procurement strategies and coordinate more favorable sourcing results through compliance to current programs and cost management strategies based on the best sourcing options available.  Work in conjunction with purchasing and program management to make recommendations and/or take appropriate actions to actively impact and augment current sourcing strategies and cost structures.

 

Nature of Duties:

  • Position requires person to be a professional, self motivated person with excellent negotiation skills
  • Work with business segments to reduce liability for Sanmina and ensure plant collection of unfavorable PPV from customers. Using system tools to record and ensure complete and accurate closure to aging events and claims.
  • Interface with the supply base, supply chain peers and plant level teams to develop the most effective strategies for key supply chain focus areas to include material cost optimization and inventory management.
  • Candidate will possess excellent problem solving skills in order to resolve a wide range of issues involving plant and/or supplier inquiries, complaints, or special requests.  
  • Timely, accurate, and thorough communication through telephone, email, and face to face meeting with the plants, management, and suppliers to understand and resolve any business or customer issues hindering the adherence to company goal for cost management.
  • Collaborate with management, plant programs teams and GSM Team to improve the cost reduction process and adherence to corporate goals.   
  • Candidate will be required to develop and report cost management related metrics and analysis.
  • Assist with development and enhancement of new and existing reporting tools and processes related to Compliance and Cost Management.

 

Education/Experience:

  • Excellent negotiation skills are a must
  • Bachelor degree required
  • 2 years minimum of Supply Chain/Procurement experience
  • Must be proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Oracle experience a plus
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally, as required
