Tatabanya, HU Operational Excellence (OpEx) Leader

Requisition ID: 110062-0

Job Opportunity: Operational Excellence (OpEx) Leader

Location: Tatabánya, Hungary

Company: Sanmina-SCI Magyarország Kft.

About the Role

Sanmina’s Tatabánya plant is seeking a high-energy, results-oriented OpEx Leader to drive a culture of continuous improvement across our electronics manufacturing operations. You will be the primary architect of efficiency, tasked with identifying waste, streamlining complex processes, and mentoring teams in the art of "better, faster, smarter."

As the OpEx Leader, you won’t just be monitoring KPIs; you will be on the shop floor, leading the charge in transforming our operational DNA through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement the site’s Continuous Improvement (CI) roadmap in alignment with corporate global standards.

  • Lean Transformation: Lead Kaizen events and Value Stream Mapping (VSM) sessions to eliminate non-value-added activities.

  • 5S+ Ownership: Take full responsibility for the 5S+ (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain + Safety) process. You will design the audit framework, drive workplace organization standards, and ensure that safety is intrinsically linked to operational efficiency.

  • Statistical Rigor: Utilize Six Sigma tools to reduce process variation, improve yields, and solve chronic quality issues.

  • Training & Mentorship: Act as the internal consultant and coach, training staff at all levels to become Lean practitioners and problem-solvers.

  • Financial Impact: Identify cost-saving opportunities and track the "hard savings" generated through OpEx projects to ensure a strong ROI.

  • Data-Driven Leadership: Establish and maintain robust visual management systems and real-time performance dashboards.

Your Profile

  • Education: University degree in Engineering, Economics, or Management.

  • Expertise: Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (or a very experienced Green Belt ready to step up).

  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in a leadership role within an automated manufacturing environment (Electronics/EMS or Automotive experience is a significant plus).

  • Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of DMAIC, SMED, Poka-Yoke, Kanban, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

  • Safety Mindset: A strong understanding of how workplace organization (5S) directly impacts EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) protocols.

  • Soft Skills: A "change agent" mindset—you are resilient, persuasive, and able to engage both operators and executive stakeholders.

  • Languages: Fluency in Hungarian and English is essential for local collaboration and global reporting.
