Engineer I (Procurement)

Job Responsibilities

• Support procurement and cost reduction activities through sourcing and price negotiation of new and alternate parts.
• Provide technical support on component sourcing and substitution recommendation.
• Identify and select vendors to ensure continuity of parts / assemblies to meet customer specification.
• Involve in vendor audits and evaluations to drive continuous process and quality improvement.
• Establish cost reduction plan with vendors.
• Develop effective supply chain management with vendors.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of experience in commodity management or procurement in Electronics Manufacturing industry is preferred
• Experience with managing semiconductor devices.
• Knowledge of component knowledge is preferred
• Good network of supplier base
• Good interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications
