Senior Engineer II (Hardware Design)
Job Responsibilities:
• Conduct product feasibility studies, define system and hardware architectures and solutions, and create execution plan for new product development.
• Design schematic, create BOM, support prototype/engineering build.
• Create hardware and system specifications, develop hardware solutions and test plan, validate designs and conduct relevant functional, stress and regulatory tests.
• Define, design, develop, troubleshoot and evaluate electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for new product and other hardware systems.
• Work with cross functional and manufacturing team to resolve design issues and to support production problems.
• Provide technical expertise and consultation to peers.
• Maintain consistent high quality of engineering design work to develop robust, high performance and cost effective designs and products.
• Meet project schedules and budgets.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
• Degree/Master in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of hardware or system direct experience with proven track record of embedded system designs
• Design experience and knowledge in any of the following:
a. Real-time embedded systems, high speed digital and mixed-signal platforms designs.
b. SoC/Processors/Controllers, DDR4 DRAM, NAND/NOR Flash, USB, PCIe, NVMe, GbE technologies.
c. Wireless design and validation such as WiFi, BT and LTE.
• Understanding integration of software and hardware required
• NPI project execution experience and familiarity with Product Development Life Cycle will be desirable
• Experience using CAD tools (e.g. Cadence Allegro, Siemens PADS or Altium Designer)
• Familiar with ISO9001
• Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills
• Self motivated and willing to learn new technology and skills who works well under pressure
• Maintain effective working relationships with managers, co-workers
• Excellent organization skills and ability to juggle multiple projects
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
