- Eliminate or reduce waste in production and related processes (apply lean manufacturing tools and techniques, six sigma, etc.).
- Choose machinery and other equipment and arrange these items in the most effective layout in the manufacturing plant (i.e., lean).
- Develop methods that will be used to accomplish all of the tasks involved in production, including devising systems for quality control, distribution, and inventory.
- Determine the functions and responsibilities of workers and devices and implement evaluation procedures; recommend methods for improving employee efficiency.
- Evaluates potential for or actual physical harm throughout production processes; redesigns, relocates, or replaces equipment, as necessary.
- Design production layout with minimum movement of WIP and workforce, caters for proper 6S at all times which is sustainable
- Analysis time study and drive for productivity improvement.
- Define capacity required on monthly and quarterly basis through equipment utilization measures
- Advise the management on the capacity constraints in terms of equipment and direct labor
- Drive the capital equipment avoidance
- Plan and advise the management on the headcount allocation by projects and shifts required
- Study the workstation ergonomic
- Drive cost saving project
- Frequently review and revise the labor hours, and as and when there are changes made to the processes or work methods and keep labor hours in Oracle is updated
- 3 to 5 years of working related in engineering experience in manufacturing environment, with EMS fields or equivalent.
