Job Purpose:
Performs a variety of duties which includes coordinating with supplier, data entry, and scheduling purchase orders with supplier to meet production schedules. Work any parts issues with suppliers and internally to remedy shortage problems. Pick up and deliver material within the company and maintain records on materials movement. Expedite incoming materials to make sure they are properly meeting MRP schedules. Monitor incoming flow of materials and parts between departments in order to meet scheduled commitments. Ability to work from Customer BOMs and AVLs to ensure purchase orders meet the approved components on the customers AVL’s. Track placement of purchase orders, track receipt of material, and track incoming parts to make sure there is no defect in the parts that could hold up schedules. Work with the receiving department on any paperwork issue that will keep the material from being received in and processed.
Nature of Duties:
• Good people skills that will allow easy interface with parts manufacturers and distributors.
• Excellent organizational skills that will allow multitasking in an efficient and effective manner.
• Ability to keep clear and concise records of the exact status of all part orders and purchase orders, etc, that are in process.
• Ability to produce concise and accurate daily or weekly status reports indicating exact status of all open assignments.
• Ability to quickly come up to speed on internal procedures for placing parts order and working with shipping and receiving to expedite movement of parts.
Education/Experience:
Must be a US Citizen
High School Diploma
1-2 years of experience in related field
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, (Excel and Word) and other software tools
