The Sanmina Fremont facility is a full-service enclosure systems solution manufacturing plant. Located in California’s Silicon Valley, this facility produces low-to-mid volume New Product Introduction (NPI) runs to full-scale volume. The Fremont facility offers everything from small piece parts to fully integrated and tested systems. In addition, this location offers in-house painting capabilities and flexible logistics solutions in distribution, inventory management and hubbing, as well as repair services.
Job Purpose:
Program Manager will be responsible for all aspects of a program at the site, serving as the site liaison between the company and the customer to ensure customer needs are met. Ensures all program-related decisions are guided by the terms and conditions of the customer’s contract.
Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:
- Accomplishes Project Manager Objectives by communicating project expectations; planning, monitoring and follow through of assignments and expectations
- Responsible for using best practice PMO methodology to create a project plan to fit the stakeholders/customers’ needs and deliver with-in budget on desired outcomes. Fully accountable for the result of the project, is the driver that holds the project together. The project manager senior leads the project with passion and provides deliverables.
- Defines Project Roles and Responsibilities by working closely with the Customer, Sales Team, Engineering and Manufacturing the PM is responsible for defining the project scope and objectives to ensure project members understand what is expected of them and what they should expect from one another.
- Performs Project tracking by preparing, maintaining and submitting clear & concise activity/progress reports and time recording/management reports. Managing and developing project programs.
- Responsible for defining, teaching, and enforcing the use of good project management practices.
- Manage the activities of a cross functional team(s) to ensure completion of the project on time.
- Reviews status with the customer and the management team.
- Understands and drives written understanding of the project and develop contract/MSA terms with customer and the business development team.
- Maintains good customer relationship to avoid escalations.
- Drives effective meetings with both internal and external teams.
- Timely resolution of issues and escalation as soon as it’s required to avoid delays in project completion.
- Ensures timely implementation of ECOs.
- Move materials parts around the production area.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 2-4 years of direct and relevant experience in Program Management, Field Application Engineering and/or Product Development.
- Experience understanding electro mechanical solutions and designs.
- Basic mechanical and manufacturing process knowledge is expected.
- Understanding of the product development process, from concept design, to NPI, through to volume manufacturing, including qualification.
- Experience transferring complex products and processes into manufacturing.
- Experience analyzing project related data and utilization of standard project management tools and documentation and planning systems.
- Experience in a broad range of backplane, chassis, and subsystems technologies, including materials and components and their supply chains, is considered an asset. Knowledge of Open Standards such OpenVPX preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Customer focused and demonstrated problem solver.
- Time management and organizational skills are an essential part of this position
- Understanding of sales activities, sales cycle and techniques
- Strong oral and written communication skills Extensive experience with U.S. Government contracts, including FAR and DFARS
- Must have Excel skills

Salary Range (annual): $75,000 - $95,000. Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
