Job Purpose:
This Software Development Engineer will develop and sustain automated test suites for advanced server and data storage products, will provide technical support to customers and manufacturing teams, and will support NPI product test development. You will be a highly valued member of the test development team that designs & develops test methods, test infrastructures, and a key participant in product problem solving and troubleshooting.
The successful candidate will have the interpersonal and self-organization skills to work with a diverse set of Customers, Product Design Teams, NPI Teams and Manufacturing Teams.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:
· Develop and support automated product test suites and test teams for VES’s domestic and international manufacturing sites.
· Develop test software to functionally verify PCBA and System level products, control switches, PDUs and measurement devices for new product development & product sustaining.
· Build and develop PXE boot images for devices under test.
· Build and maintain Linux servers and network infrastructure.
· Support new product introductions through comprehensive test strategies for PCBA, Systems and Burn-In testing.
- Program and debug enterprise servers
· Support the work cell personnel during production runs to assist with improving FPY numbers and assisting with test failures (debugging, troubleshooting).
Experience:3 years or more on:
· Software development experience - preferably in Python/Bash.
· Experience with the LAMP stack (Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP).
· Test development experience for computing & storage products.
· Experience in direct support for server product manufacturing and testing.
· Experience in debug hardware and software for server product.
· Hands-on expertise with Linux and Linux scripting tools.

Education and Experience:
· Education: BS degree in Computer science, Electrical engineering or equivalent.
· Programming skills based on Linux scripting (Bash, Python, PHP)
· Proficient English Language (all sites)
· Proficiency with office systems (email, worksheets, presentations etc...).

Salary Range(annual): $105,000 - $150,000 . Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
