Receiving  Inspector

Job Purpose

This position involves performing visual and dimensional inspection of incoming materials for quality workmanship, appearance and conformity to applicable specifications and standards.

Nature of Duties:

• Perform incoming inspections with appropriate equipment
• Verify certification and conformity to Production Specifications
• Communicate with buyers and engineering team on discrepancies and assist with returns and replacements
• Properly mark and record rejected material
• Segregate and protect  identification and traceability
• Print label, perform count, package and distribute items accordingly
• Follow policies and procedures

Requirements and skills needed for the job:

• 1 to 2 years of experience in Proficiency in basic drawing/specification interpretation
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Mechanical aptitude and ability
• Exposure to caliper, micrometer, hardness testing equipment
• Reading, writing and verbal communication skills and Microsoft Office proficiency
• Ability to manage small projects personally and work independently
• Organizational skills and detail oriented
• Ability to stand, sit and lift up to 30to 40lbs
• Excellent visual acuity
• Other duties as assigned      

Additional skills that are helpful but not required: • An understanding of general electronic components• Understanding of metrology tools and calibrations
