At this time, SCI is recruiting highly qualified candidates whose background and career goals meet our needs for the following position in Huntsville, AL. Please note that due to Department of Defense contract requirements, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.
TEST ENGINEER
Lead engineer, designing, developing and implementing cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment. Developing test processes and specifying equipment necessary to test and debug complex defense and aerospace electronics systems.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College in Electrical or Electronics Engineering. Will consider equivalent experience.
7+ years of test engineering/product trouble shooting experience
Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings, schematics and test procedures.
Experience with writing Excel VBA code and using excel formulas a plus.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Training technicians in debug of functional test failures and use of diagnostic equipment
• Developing fault tree diagrams and other supporting tools to facilitate troubleshooting and identifying component level failures.
• Setting task priorities and driving them to completion with minimal oversight.
• Writing technical reports to a multifaceted team related to design, test and electrical failures and manufacture of electronic products
• Effectively and clearly communicating to management on status of projects
• Works in a team environment to ensure that all technical requirements are successfully met.
