42Q Business Development/Sales Manager
Business Development Managers (BDM) are key members of the go-to-market (GTM) team. They are responsible for building lists of sales leads, then pitching to these prospects to build the company’s client list. They help move people from the top of the sales funnel to the goal of being a signed customer. The business development role uses many business skills, including strategic planning, project management, and successful negotiation.
Responsibilities:
While the role will vary depending on the company and the industry, you might expect your tasks to include:

Identifying opportunities in target markets for the organization’s products and services

Assessing client needs and the company’s ability to meet those needs
-
Building a Strong Sales Pipeline: Maintaining a consistent flow of qualified leads in the pipeline
-
Generating leads through cold calling prospective clients or networking at trade shows
-
Following up with new leads and referrals generated from the sales team
-
Closing Deals: Converting qualified leads into paying customers is a core responsibility
-
Accurate Sales Forecasting: Responsible for providing accurate forecasts of upcoming sales activity

Improving Sales Cycle Length: Shortening the time it takes to close a deal to improve efficiency and reduce costs

Mastering Product Knowledge: A deep understanding of the 42Q's product offerings and service to effectively communicate its value to potential customers

Developing and nurturing relationships with key customer accounts

Keeping up with the latest industry developments, including market positioning of corporate competitors
-
Using customer relationship management (CRM) software, such as Hubspot, to manage interactions. Preparing status reports on goals
Qualifications/Skills:

University Degree plus professional qualification or similar (MBA or Masters in relevant topic).

Candidate must be able to speak, read and write in English
-
Experience with Manufacturing and/or SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) sales is desirable
