Job Purpose:

This role offers an exciting opportunity to support Sanmina's printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing by performing crucial production-related data analysis. As a Manufacturing Data Analyst, you will be instrumental in creating data preparation and collection plans based on our comprehensive company database. You will then leverage your strong analytical skills to dissect this data, identifying strengths, weaknesses, yield trends, bottlenecks, process interdependencies, and opportunities for significant production enhancement. Working under the guidance of the VP of PCB Technology and reporting to Sanmina PCB corporate senior management, you will also have the chance to lead impactful projects in collaboration with Sanmina PCB plants and the corporate team. This position is ideal for a motivated individual with a background in Electronics Engineering, Materials Science, or Chemistry or related field, coupled with strong programming and large data analysis abilities, who is eager to apply their skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment, participate in the yield improvement program, and is willing to learn the process of PCB and help in it, developing expertise in yield engineering.

Nature of Duties:

  • Analyze production databases to drive tangible PCB production improvements and achieve significant cost reduction.
  • Develop and implement innovative enhancements to existing production database systems.
  • Integrate available databases to optimize data accessibility and maximize utilization across the organization.
  • Thoroughly review and evaluate Sanmina PCB processes and capabilities to proactively identify key areas for improvement.
  • Participate actively in the yield improvement program, contributing data-driven insights and analysis.
  • Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn the intricacies of the PCB manufacturing process and actively contribute to its optimization.

Education and Experience:

  • BS or higher degree preferred in Electrical Electronics Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills relevant to data analysis (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
  • Proven ability to handle large datasets and perform in-depth data analysis.
  • Demonstrated logical thinking, strong analytical, and effective problem-solving abilities. Experience using statistical software for engineering processes is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex analysis results through effective data visualization.
  • Strong interest in yield engineering and some practical experience in this area is a significant plus.
  • Familiarity with PCB, LCD, IC, and/or MEMS manufacturing processes is preferred but not mandatory.
  • The candidate must meet ITAR requirements.

Salary Range (annual) : $85,000.00 - $121,000.00

Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
