1. Leads system planning and project status meetings for highly complex enterprise application and technical solution projects.
2. Completes all phases of highly complex system projects.
3. Uses general business know ledge and a strong understanding of enterprise systems to define system processes and w orkflow s that meet
both business and end-user needs. Researches solutions and coordinates the remediation of deficiencies.
4. Analyzes, plans, designs, develops, tests, debugs, implements, maintains, upgrades, and enhances the most complex elements of existing or
new systems. Review s the w ork of less experienced engineers.
5. Develops and applies technical improvements. Analyzes and evaluates alternative technical solutions (innovation vs. re-use).
6. Creates new systems designs and solutions based on novel or unique ideas.
7. Uses know ledge of other IT disciplines and collaboration w ith other IT developers to build innovative and integrated systems. Develops
synergies among team members to achieve quality and timeline objectives. Clearly defines areas of technical responsibility.
8. Closely involves the sponsoring business unit and end users in planning and status reports to ensure that project is on track to deliver expected
functionality.
9. Develops training materials and application instructions for most complex enterprise applications and technical solutions. Leads classroom
training and one-on-one coaching.
10. Maintains positive relationships w ith other Sanmina functions to effectively guide the development of next-generation systems.
11. Uses status as a know ledge leader in enterprise application and technical solution design and functional know ledge across multiple IT
disciplines and program management to provide technical leadership to a given project.
12. Analyses IT capacity, vendor capabilities, and business processes to suggest improvements, propose automation, and streamline business
processes. Implements solutions.
13. Makes project budget recommendations.
14. Aids in the establishment of system development lifecycle process. Implements improvements to coding and development standards.
Documents changes to existing configuration. Tracks project progress against project plans.
15. Performs complex capacity planning and monitoring across IT disciplines and business functions. Conducts feasibility assessments to highlight
risks and opportunities.
16. Tracks emerging trends in technology and softw are. Leads far-reaching and high-profile process improvements and cost-savings measures.
Proactively connects know n and unrecognized business needs to emerging solutions.
17. Failure to achieve results or erroneous decisions and/or recommendations w ould normally result in the inability to reach crucial organizational
objectives and may have a prolonged effect on the success of functional, divisional, regional or organizational operations, as w ell as result in the
expenditure of substantial resources.
18. Works on complex issues and develops resolutions w here analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
and/or frequent use of creativity.

 This position may have 2 - 20 direct reports.
 
 This position will generally have operating budget authority.

goals outlined.  Provides direction to employees according to established policies and
management guidance. Work is reviewed by management to measure meeting of objectives.

changes to department/function policies.
 

JOB SCOPE

 
 Level 2 – Manager site with over 1000 employees.  5+ direct reports.

COMMUNICATION/CONTACTS

 Regular contacts include business unit management, plant management, regional and
corporate IT management/staff, department staff, vendors, and users of all levels.  The
purpose of contact is to manage IT operations, report on progress, and develop, recommend
and implement enhanced operational and system capabilities. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL

 Work will be performed primarily in an office environment, but some duties must be

REQUIREMENTS performed on the factory floor.

 
 Domestic and international travel may be required and may exceed 10%.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/   
WORK EXPERIENCE

 Level 2 - 5 - 7 years of directly related IT experience, including 1-2 years in a
