Job Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to monitor and inspect circuit board assemblies using Automatic Optical (AOI) and/or X-ray (5DX) equipment to ensure product quality and reliability.
Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:
- Monitoring SMT products at defined stations using AOI or 5DX equipment.
- Identifying components, including part numbers, values, package size/shape, placement, and solderability.
- Reporting findings to appropriate personnel and recording them on applicable documentation.
- Performing other responsibilities as needed.
Education and Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience as an AOI Inspector.
- Experience utilizing AOI and/or 5DX equipment
- Working knowledge of the IPC workmanship guidelines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks
- Physical ability to do a lot of standing and walking and lift up to 35 pounds
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Availability for overtime as needed
- Strong attention to detail
- Solder certified and experience in electronics or contract manufacturing
- Experience in electronics or contract manufacturing and knowledge of IPC workmanship guidelines preferred
