Molding Set Up Technician – Turtle Lake, WI

We are currently looking to hire an experienced Molding Set-Up Technician.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Hourly pay is based on experience and education. 

Job Purpose:

A Molding Set-Up Technician sets up, operates, and troubleshoots plastic injection molding machines, including installing molds, setting process parameters, ensuring quality, and performing basic maintenance to guarantee efficient, safe production of parts according to specifications. Key duties involve mold changes, material handling, process adjustments

Nature of Duties:

• Machine & Mold Setup

  •  Install molds, set machine parameters (temperature, pressure, time), and connect auxiliary equipment.

• Process Monitoring & Adjustment 

  • Monitor runs, make real-time adjustments to maintain quality, and document changes.

• Troubleshooting

  • Diagnose and resolve issues with machines, molds, materials, or processes to prevent defects.

• Quality Control

  • Inspect parts for defects, ensuring they meet internal and external standards.

• Maintenance

  • Perform preventive maintenance (cleaning, lubricating) and report needed repairs on molds and equipment.

• Safety & Housekeeping

  • Adhere to safety protocols (OSHA, Lockout/Tagout) and maintain a clean work area (5S). 

Education and Experience:

• 2 Year Technical Degree or Enrolled in a technical class or equivalent related experience plus 2 years experience as a Manufacturing Technician.  

• Must have a strong electrical aptitude with the ability to work with vendors and suppliers. 

• Strong and appropriate influencing skills and flexible work ethic is important.  

• CAD Platforms. Solid Works, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Pro Engineering
